@domi
opening a can of worms - I get gnome keyring but what's wrong with dbus exactly?
@nytpu
Hmm I'm not an expert in furry literature either but this does seem more common in Sci Fi. Of course, that's usually solved by not being so different to make a shared simplified language or with real time high tech translators, maybe with a plot point around a broken translator.

Briar does this for group chats and forums

pipewire managed to be an excellent transition from alsa, pulseaudio, and jack all at the same time.
And I'm not an xorg or wayland dev, but from what I understand a lot of the original wayland architects were x11 devs who did know the problems with it and then totally over corrected when making wayland, avoiding the same mistakes but making new ones.
@aronia
this makes sense because many nonbinary entities on fedi are very knowledgeable and may have even contributed to the documentation

I got a trackball, specifically ploopy.co/adept-trackball/ . I made bindings to switch back and forth between right and left handed mode, and while I rarely use my left hand it works surprisingly well.
I didn't have any RSI or pain from a more standard mouse though, so take my suggestion with a grain of salt.
@q66
Installed chimera the other day because it's political :3

make sure to enable misskey-flavored-access-control-lists in your filesystem.
(actual suggestion check that the permissions are correct for the whole path. I've been bitten by that before)
@foone
Oh I'd wondered why that was. It's even in the decryption but without an explanation, "At some places, it's not lag. It's just the video that is slow down."
@danderson
I felt dying and restarting was really frustrating because the initial bit wasn't fun to go through again. But getting rid of fear was a pain even after docking in Fallen London. Was I just bad at it or missing something?
Loved the story telling and atmosphere though. And going exploring in my little ship.
@meow
do you happen to have a link to the neomouse? :3

Reddit making life difficult for third party clients was what got me off, and so was the best thing they've ever done for me.
