People are not rational beings. Nobody. Not the entity reading this, not the entity writing this, not the most well put together person you know.This is not a problem! I don't think there is a purely rational reason to bake a cake. In the end, it tastes good and makes us happy. That's enough.
But it's frustrating as hell that we keep pretending that people are rational and keep getting the wrong answer on everything because of it. The sooner we let go of this myth, the better.
