us medical system (negative) I called my pharmacy to find out what the latest problem was, and their answer was "you've never tried to fill this medication before"

uh-huh. so when it goes from "in progress" to being mysteriously back in the "ready to attempt to fill" state, it apparently lies to the pharmacy techs too

us medical system (negative) I asked them to try to fill it again and they asked if I wanted to use my insurance from north carolina

a state I haven't lived in in TWELVE YEARS

what the heck

us medical system (negative) okay so when they lied to me yesterday about it never having been attempted to be filled before, I asked if they could put a note on the prescription to contact me if it got canceled. They said "oh you'll be contacted when it's filled or it gets canceled!"

I suspected at the time, but now I am certain: that was a lie.

us medical system (negative) the prescription is now back to never-requested-to-fill. not canceled, not an error, just un-filled.

I only know this because I checked manually.

us medical system (negative) the worst part is that when you call them they make you use their AI, and I tell it I need to get the status of my prescription, and it goes "no problem. your adderall is ready!"

because it only sees that one prescription because it silently un-filled the prescription.

then I get routed to a real person AND THEY DO THE SAME THING TO ME

us medical system (negative) oh my god
when I tell it "I need to talk to a human pharmacy technician" it goes "okay... I'll connect you to the pharmacy!" and then there's a moment, and I'M TALKING TO THE SAME FUCKING AI AGAIN

us medical system (negative) okay finally talked to a human. according to their lies, the insurance said it's not covered, and that my doctor should send alternatives.

funny, given that I'm only trying to fill this specific prescription because the main alternative isn't covered, and this one is.

us medical system (negative) the best part is that this is the easy one, the one that's covered. I've got another very important medication to go on that's not listed as covered, but legally they have to cover it. So THAT'S gonna be a fun argument and a half

us medical system (negative) okay so my insurance told me a completely different story: that they HAVE got prior auth, but they're still processing it. it takes up to 72 hours, and it's only been 48.

so within 24 hours they should approve or deny my prior authorization. when that happens... I won't know. so I just need to call them back tomorrow and start this whole process again

us medical system (negative) I've located 5 more meds that might work for me (by looking up the whole class of anti-migraine meds on wikipedia and checking all of them through my insurance's coverage page) so I can restart this TWO MONTH process at any time for each of those

us medical system (negative) maybe I'll just get my doctor to prescribe me all 6 possible migraine meds that my insurance might cover and then I'll throw them all at the pharmacy and see if any of them stick

us medical system (negative) Oh sweet banana-flavored Jesus.
They fucked up one of my other meds today.

Last month they were running low on Adderall, so they did a partial refill: 29 instead of 30 pills. Whatever, I just skipped taking my ADHD meds one weekend day.

Today, for this month, they don't have a shortage. Yay! So they fill it, no notes, no warnings, and I get home to one (1) pill

us medical system (negative) Instead of filling this month's ADHD prescription, they just completed last month's.

So I have ONE PILL to last 30 days

re: us medical system (negative) @foone
You would think someone would question the computer's order seeing one pill like that
