whenever people tell me "linux is hard to use, you can only use it because you're good at computers" I go into hysterics. You think I'm good at computers?

90% of the reason I use cachyOS is because it doesn't cause problems and has its install questions phrased in a way that don't require me to open a wiki and attempt to navigate Computer Toucher Language. It's amazing because it has all the benefits of arch but it doesn't make me suffer miserably for them

this is like the perfect medium between "I'm going to talk to you like you've never seen a PC before. setting me up will be making you solve a captcha and then press away 6 windows asking you to pay microsoft money" windows and whatever the fuck gentoo is.

Takes me seriously and doesn't hold me hostage to pay subscriptions or try to pretend it's a person, knows its place as a computer, but also is aware that maybe I am just a little guy and don't want to build an OS from scratch

When I complain about computer problems to some of my friends they joke that it's linux issues. I have to clarify "oh, no, I knew enough to choose the hard way but not enough to make it work" (just installed gentoo recently)
