@ireneistaUnless multiple total changes to the plan have been made and I haven't heard about them, the plan to actually land on the moon remains a total fantasy, requiring multiple non existent and untested technologies to be invented like mid flight refueling with liquid oxygen and liquid methane with an unknown amount of support rockets being launched to do that (12 at the low end, 20+ at the more realistic end it seems). The reason is because we decided that spacex should build a rocket too heavy to actually be able to carry its own fuel, and with less carrying capacity for non fuel stuff.
And yeah the way people talking about the fly by did make me check that I'd missed something. Honestly, I'm surprised even this mission launched.
