honestly tempted to fork fish shell to ban slop from it

fae used to be a fish shell developer in the past, so fae is quite familiar with its source code sylveon_happy

no idea what fae would call the fork however, naming is hard sylveon_uwu

fae is trying to figure out when did the llm contributions start

the thing is, github.com/fish-shell/fish-shell/blob/master/AGENTS.md was added by an active contributor who wrote code for fish shell since 2019 sylveon_sad

none of their commits declare that they were written with ai assistance, but at the same time, considering the addition of agents.md, fae has no doubt they did use llms for at least some of contributions

what a mess, and I quite liked fish as a project. It's nice to use and I thought how they did the rust rewrite in place was neat
