@cinnamon @walnut misskey federated profile changes with a funky kind of off-by-one error. when you change your profile, the old version is sent to every instance that follows you.

if you want your change to federate instantly (without needing to wait for all the other instances to refetch your profile on their own), you need to make two changes in a row

I refetched before reading the end of the thread and didn't check the before neocat_facepalm
