@reece@ikesau In my experience and everyone else I know that self hosts it, nextcloud is slow, surprisingly resource intensive, and fragile feeling. They have a whole ecosystem of plugins so you can extend its functionality but many are half baked or broken. I also recommend looking elsewhere.
Syncthing for file sync is the best bet. I'm happy with it. But it's not a gdrive alt.
github.com/opencloud-eu might be okay. It looks promising, but I haven't personally used it.
Immich looks like the best for photos only, but also haven't personally used.
@siderea Sometimes you can kind of do that by downloading the app from multiple places, but it depends on if they use a different internal name. Unfortunately FairEmail does not; downloading from github, play, and fdroid all use eu.faircode.email . Don't know about K-9. If you built it yourself it'd be easy to change the name, but I doubt this is the answer you're looking for.

@siderea@darth_hideout hmm. All the pumpkin muffins or pumpkin cookies I've had were always extremely soft, so that could just be a part of the territory. Cooked directly in the pan with a greased tin.

@ObsidianUrbex I only just noticed but I appreciate that you put alt text. I wasn't sure what I was looking at with the cooling tower and it helped me understand it. It's got a surreal or liminal feeling to it; it's a beautiful photo.
